10.2.7 Driving test

When dispensation is granted and if the practical driving test is to be conducted in a language other than Danish, the student must arrange and pay for an interpreter. The interpreter must arrive at least 5 minutes before the test begins. Payment for both the practical driving test and the interpreter is due when the driving instructor books the test. The interpreter must be physically present when the practical test begins, but once the driving portion starts, interpretation is typically provided via the car's phone system.

The driving instructor and the interpreter are not usually present in the car during the actual driving test. Theory tests are available in Danish and English without the need for an interpreter. The interpreter for a practical test must hold a valid interpreter certification.
