Requirements to re-obtain a driving license.

If you are required to re-acquire your driving license, or an orientation or a control driving test, this means that you must pass a theory and a driving test. Such a sentence is imposed on motorists who have committed offenses after having acquired a driving license for more than 3 years. If the sentence is imposed within the first 3 years of your driving license, then the punishment is called a driving ban.

A reacquisition is imposed if you have violated the traffic rules which trigger 3 valid clips within 3 years. A clip in the driving license is imposed if you e.g. are talking on a hand-held phone while driving or if you e.g. illegally cross a stop line. In addition, you will be fined and if the offense was committed due to alcohol, you must also take part in a 12-hour ANT course (alcohol, drugs and traffic). There is no requirement that you attend a lesson at a driving school, but you must pass a theory test and a driving test. The practical driving test can only be conducted through a driving school, because the driving test must take place through an approved driving school, with a specially equipped vehicle.
